Stop, Think, Act, Relect!
Conflict and violence occur in our students lives at unacceptable rates. Social problem solving, or the ability to stop and think about conflicts, analyze them, generate solutions, and carry those solutions out, is a vital part of conflict avoidance and resolution.
This interactive program provides practice enacting conflict resolution skills by watching videos of conflicts and being guided to analyze them effectively. Students learn to apply STAR, a research-based problem solving model consisting of Stop, Think, Act, and Reflect, to a variety of situations. A part of the Peak Classrooms series and available for Windows or Macintosh.
Funded in part by the National Institute of Mental Health and the National Institute for Child Health and Human Development.
