Perform effective ECG, every time
Electrocardiogram is the most common cardiac examination ordered by physicians.
In the past, only persons working in the ECG laboratory were allowed to perform a 12-lead ECG on a patient. Today, however, this task has been delegated to a variety of health professionals, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants. Performing an Electrocardiogram provides practice with the core skills and information to conduct an effective and efficient ECG.
Performing an Electrocardiogram includes demonstration of seven key steps of the electrocardiogram, from client introduction to quality assessment. The modules include background knowledge, skills demonstrations, and simulated practice. Video of each step and an assessment module complete the package.
CD-ROM Features
Learn the technical skills necessary to perform an appropriate and effective ECG each and every time. Performing an ECG provides a simulation of all aspects of the process, from placing electrodes to checking the output.
In addition to the technical know-how of conducting an effective ECG, Performing an ECG allows you to interact with clients, providing practice in putting them at ease and in engaging them in the process.
Quizzes and other feedback help guide users through the learning process. A certificate may be printed upon successful completion of the course.
