Do you share medicine? AEI examined prevalence and types of prescription medication sharing among the general U.S. population, ages 12-44.

The study (read study »), published in the American Journal of Public Health has received national attention for its role in indentifying previously under-the-radar public health risks. 1 in 4 individuals reported sharing prescription medications and risks included loss of warnings, negative impact on patient-provider interactions, and birth defects and other hazards.
